Moving to Colorado, or within it: health insurance
A permanent move to Colorado, or to a new area with different plans, lets you buy a plan within 60 days. You generally need to have had coverage for at least one day in the 60 days before the move. Prices and plans depend on your county, so price your new address.

Moving to Colorado
Moving here permanently is a qualifying life change. You have 60 days to choose a plan through Connect for Health Colorado.
Under federal rules, you generally must have had qualifying coverage for at least one day in the 60 days before the move. People moving from another country or a U.S. territory, and American Indians, have exceptions.
Moving within Colorado
Colorado has nine rating areas, and plans are sold county by county. A move to a new county can change which plans you can buy and what they cost.
If your move gives you new plan choices, it can open a 60-day window to switch. Report your new address to Connect for Health Colorado within 30 days.
Moving away from Colorado
A Colorado plan is for Colorado residents. When you move, end it and buy a plan in your new state, where the move opens a window too.
